PENGERTIAN SHORT FUNCTIONAL TEXT

Short Functional Text (teks fungsional pendek) adalah teks pendek yang memiliki fungsi, makna dan tujuan tertentu yang digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Ada beberapa contoh Short Functional Text, diantaranya:

CONTOH LENGKAP SHORT FUNCTIONAL TEXT

1. NOTICE

Notice artinya pemberitahuan. Notice dibagi menjadi command (perintah), caution (peringatan), information (informasi), dan prohibition (larangan).

Notice: Command

Command artinya perintah. Notice Command berarti pemberitahuan yang bersifat memerintah.

Notice command ini biasanya memerintah orang atau pembaca untukmelakukan apa yang tertulis dalam notice tersebut.

Notice: Caution

Caution berarti peringatan. Notice caution ini digunakan untuk memberitahukan adanya sebuah peringatan. Fungsi dari notice caution yakni untuk memperingatkan orang atau pembaca agar berhati-hati atas apa yang tercantum dalam notice tersebut.

Short message artinya pesan singkat. Pesan singkat ini bisa berupa SMS, e-mail, dan memo. 

3. LETTER

Letter berarti surat. Surat ini dibedakan menjadi beberapa macam yakni formal letter (surat formal), informal letter (surat informal), business letter (suratbisnis), dan lain-lain. 

4. GREETING CARD

Greeting card artinya kartu ucapan. Kartu ucapan digunakan untuk mengucapkan sesuatu kepada seseorang lewat sebuah kartu.

5. ANNOUNCEMENT

Announcement artinya pengumuman. Announcement ini sering kita temui di public area (ruang public), at school (di sekolah), at hospital (di rumah sakit), dll. 

6. SHOPPING LIST

Shopping list artinya daftar perbelanjaan. Shopping list merupakan perencanaan mengenai daftar perbelanjaan yang disusun sebelum berbelanja. 

7. ADVERTISEMENT

Advertisement artinya iklan. Advertisement dapat kita jumpai melalui media cetak, dan media elektronik.

Hello Paula, how are you? It’s been a month since I last heard from you. Well, I just wanted to tell you that I was in a hospital last week. According to the doctor; I was infected by dengue fever.

At first, I felt my body became weak then I fainted when I was studying in the classroom. Then, I was taken to the hospital because of the high fever.

At the hospital, I was brought into the emergency unit. The doctor immediately gave some treatment. Finally, I had to stay there for one week. Everyday the doctor kept me on a drip.

At the seventh day, my condition was getting better. After the final check, the doctor gave me permission to go home. Now, I’m okay and because of my illness, I am now more careful about keeping in my house clean especially my room, I don’t want to get the same illness again.

We are having a great  holiday here on the Gold Coast. Yesterday we went to the Movie World.When we got up in the morning, it looked like rain. After a while the cloud disappeared. And it became a sunny day. We then decided to go to the Movie World.

MALEFICENT

                One time, there are two kingdoms neighboring but hostile. Because of the magnitude of their dispute, said that only a great hero or villain terrible that would unite them. In a kingdom, there lived a man with arrogant and greedy king who led them. They are always dissatisfied and envious of the wealth and beauty of their neighboring kingdom. In another kingdom, there lived a strange habit Moors and the beautiful creatures. And they do not need a king or queen. But they trust. In a large tree, on a high cliff Moors, the stay was a winged creature. It may look she is just a girl. But he is not an ordinary girl. He is fairies. And his name is Maleficent.

                One time, Maleficent saw three fairies speak...

Maleficent          : “What are you talking?”

Fairy 1 (red)        : “the border guards ...”

Stevan                  : “if I knew you'd throw that gem, I'll save it earlier.”

Maleficent          : “I did not discard her. I just deliver the jewel to return. Ask I did to you.”

They both stopped.

Stevan                  : “one day I would live there. In the palace...”

Maleficent          : “where do you live now?”

Stevan                  : “in the warehouse.”

Maleficent          : “what happened to my wing?! (Crying and screaming)”

Arrived in the kingdom...

Stevan give Maleficent wing pieces to the king.

King                       : “What is this?”

One day Maleficent save the crows were almost killed.

Maleficent          : “Wow .... It's a festive event stevan king. The kings, nobles, and ... hahahaha ... really interesting. Even commoners. I honestly admit, I was pretty sad, because it did not receive invitations.”

King stevan         : “you're not welcome here.”

Maleficent          : “too bad ... really strange circumstances. And to prove that I had no intention to hurt, I will give a gift to your child.”

King stevan         : “no! I do not want your gift!”

Fairy 3                   : “go away from the princess!”

Fairy 2                   : “yes! Go!”

Maleficent          : “her name diaval.”

Diaval                    : “halo aurora. I've known you since you were little.”

Aurora                  : “this is what I dream right from childhood”

Since that time the aurora and the closer Maleficent, Maleficent melted and began to love aurora like his own child. He was so sorry because bringing a curse to the aurora. Maleficent was trying to break his curse when aurora was sleeping.

Maleficent          : “I pulled the curse. Remove the curse. I pulled my curse! Eliminate the curse! I pulled the curse!!! ... This curse will not prevail forever. No power can change that.”

But Maleficent efforts were unsuccessful.

The next day...

Aurora                  : “whether all the fairies have wings?”

Aurora ran, and found a room in which there are wings Maleficent. He tried to pull it from its wings. While in battle, Maleficent is getting weaker.

King stevan         : “how it feels? So fairy without wings. This world is not your place!”

Maleficent get his wings back thanks to the aurora. And war takes place again. This was won by Maleficent. Finally King stevan died in battle.

Maleficent          : “This is over.”

The days turned into morning. Aurora waiting at Moors Maleficent, Maleficent lowering their thorny wall. He returns the Moors as ever.

Fairy 1                   : “she was there, quickly... They waited.”

Fairy 3                   : “wait for me!”

Fairy 1                   : “we dedicate this crown for the aurora.”
